Houseboat : a model of future architecture ?

Architect Roger Zogolovitch gives us a tour of “The Houseboat” (below gallery), his own family house and winner of the 2017 RIBA Prize for best new UK building project. It is situated in Poole Harbour in Dorset, 110 miles southwest of London.
Designed to visually conjure two upturned hulls propping themselves and facing the sea, the house was built to last. Sustainability is a core value of all of his architectural projects, Roger revealed to us during a recent interview focused on his vision of present and future British housing.
The house has been developed in collaboration with Meredith Bowles of Mole Architects and the team of Solidspace, his development agency.
The good news is that The Houseboat will be available for short holiday lettings during the summer of 2018, to give you a taste of Solidspace living. You can get in touch with Quay Holidays if you are interested.
Any takers?
