A big congratulations to the newly weds, Prince Harry et Meghan!

Would it be an American or British designer? Modern or traditional? After weeks of speculation about the choice of Ms Markle’s wedding dress, the verdict is finally in! It turned out to be none other than an elegant mix of French and British design. It was British designer Clare Waight Keller who had the honor of creating Meghan’s dress for her wedding to Prince Harry on May 19th, 2018.

As artistic director for the French house of Givenchy since 2017, Ms. Keller has revived the brand whilst respecting its trademark timeless design. The essence of her style was perfectly captured by the simple minimalism of the dress worn by the newly named Duchess of Sussex.

This is the first time that the Parisian Haute Couture fashion house has appointed a woman to the position of artistic director. Clare Waight Keller previously worked for the collections of Chloe which originally brought her to Paris in 2007, and where she now still resides with her husband and 3 children.
